Composite Fence

Material dependent, we can stain and seal composite materials such as Trex and synthetic wood for color changes or to seal aging materials.

Our Fence Staining & Painting Prep Process

Prep is the MOST important part of an exterior painting project and the LONGEST part of the process. Our fence prep process ensures your paint has the most longevity possible.

Power Washing

Before staining or painting, we power wash the area to remove all dirt and grime ensuring we have a clean surface for a smooth application.

A person, possibly a local painter, wearing gloves and a cap uses a pressure washer to clean a wooden fence, revealing a brighter surface compared to the unwashed area. Trees and greenery are visible in the background. truecoat-painters

Masking & Protection

We cover all areas around the fence that should not be stained or painted including landscaping and other areas of your property.

A long wooden fence runs along a grassy yard. Drop cloths and brown paper cover the grass near the fence, with painting supplies and gloves set on top—everything a local painter needs for a fresh painting or staining project. truecoat-painters

Scraping and Sanding

We scrape and sand as-needed which smooths rough areas, removes old stain, and sprinkler damage.

Primer (Metal Fences Only)

We use a special rust-inhibitive primer to cover existing rust and prevent it from spreading and/or as a preventative measure for new rust.
